Something Old Made Into New
I’m excited to announce a new style of jewellery this month. I had hoped to have them ready for last Christmas but it was such a busy season, they got put on the back burner.
Each piece is made from recycled resin that was excess to my larger resin pours and by building the layers up over time you are left with a solid block of striped resin which when cut and polished leaves a really pretty effect that would be impossible to achieve by direct pouring. The resulting earrings are set in 925 silver hoops and the pendants in 925 silver bezels. As each piece is hand cut, hand sanded and polished each piece has its own uniqueness. I’ve done a bit of a soft launch to see how they’ll be received but hopefully it will mean less resin waste in the studio xx
Looking after your pieces
Show them a bit of love Store in a clean, dry space and avoid contact with creams, lotions or wearing them in the shower of swimming.
Be Gentle Resin is durable but not indestructible and they can scratch or even the layers split if mishandled
Cleaning A soft damp cloth will keep them clean or a silver cloth (included) for any of the silver parts. Remember each piece is hand cut and hand polished from recycled resin so there will be slight variations which makes each piece a little more special.
