It’s hard to believe that we’re in the month of the year! Believe it or not I now have to start thinking about Christmas. It’s going to be so hard to predict this year. Last year it was 80% online and very few markets, but who knows this year. Hopefully the country will be fully open and we will have Christmas markets. There is nothing nicer than actually meeting your customer face to face as you lose that online. Online, people are only going by the photos and are not able to ask questions per se.

Wood has finally become available so it’s time to knuckle down and start building up stocks. Each board has to be drawn out, cut out, sanded 2/3 times (God I hate sanding) before it meets the resin and then curing (2/3 days) and then you guessed it…..more sanding before the final oiling. I resin my boards in small batches and then it’s repeat etc. I also need to build up my stocks of coasters which are always a huge seller in my stockist in Bantry, Co Cork Strelizia Flower & Craft Shop. My sea coasters always fly out the door there!
