It’s not posh or pretty but it is totally me!

For months (probably years, if I’m honest) I’ve needed more space than I was working out of. The house had resin in every room either waiting for resin, curing, being oiled and was beginning to get a bit of a mess. Between wholesale stock, webshop stock and commission it was getting too much. So many commissions were turned down as I just didn’t have the space to do them.

So this year, I was getting some more space. No problem I thought until I started getting quotes of over €10k for matchbox sized cabins (some so rotten, I put my foot through the floor of one) The cheapest quote was €8k plus Vat for 10 x 8ft one.

So I thought out of the box and came across this former freezer truck body that’s fully insulated and wired for electricity. It’s old but watertight and with the door shut it has a constant temperature, which resin prefers and best of all its 20ft x 8ft = result

One strip of concrete and a teleporter later it was touchdown and we’re good to go, at a fraction of the cost. Yes I could have bought an all singing all dancing studio but it’s only going to get resin splatted and I would be passing on the cost of it to my customers.
