Busy times and a quick Island hop
It’s been a while since I updated the blog and not sure where the time has gone. Over all we’re not getting much of a summer in Ireland as it’s been dull and dreary and plenty of drizzle.
I’ve managed a trip to see family in Cork which is always wonderful as well as stocking up on shells and sand for my artwork and did a few touristy things like visiting Garmish Ireland which is beautiful even in the rain.
At this time of year I try and lock in what I’m going to be offering for Christmas as it’s too late thinking about it in October/November. I’ve tweeked a few of my designs as even I get bored making the same thing over and over again. So I’ve a new style paddle board which was inspired by those big metal cleavers that the Chinese chefs seem to use. I’ve also designed some bigger rectangular serving boards as these can also be used as cutting boards if you turn and cut on the back. These of course have my signature Ocean inspired resin art along the side. (Some even a double wave)
I had hopped to have some new resin jewellery made but that didn’t happen so I guess there’s always next month!
And to finish off the month I took a quick trip out to the Aran Islands to visit one of my stockists Niamh in Lia Arann. It was a short and sweet visit but great to see her again and we’ve a few more madcap resin ideas that we will try in the next few months.
For now I’ll be gearing up for the Tullamore Show which is one of Irelands biggest Agricultural one day shows and as it’s also my local show, I like to pull out the stops!!
